Hey everyone!

COSCON 2021 (COS VCON 2021) is almost here! (You’ve got just over a month.) Your friendly team of organizers are hard at work getting all of our ducks in a row and we’ll continue to do that.

In the meantime, if you want to sign up to play or GM, head on over to the COSCON 2021 Warhorn! Registration is free (although a donation to Warhorn is suggested in lieu of that registration fee.) Your registration should be automatically processed (but watch out–when you hit the “register” button it takes you to another form where you have to confirm that registration!) and you can sign up for games immediately.

We’re also looking for GMs! We had a pretty good turnout from our first email, and we’ve got some awesome GMs lined up–but we still have fourteen sessions that still need GMs! If you’re willing to help out, all you need to do is sign yourself up on the warhorn event as a GM of an event you’re interested in running. Depending on how well we know you, we might ask you for some information to help us fill out a spreadsheet.

If you’re an experienced GM who’s been thinking of running online but hasn’t yet, that’s fine–you don’t need to be perfect! We’ll do our level best to help you get prepared. We’d had some plans to run more GM training sessions, and while there’s not much demand right now, if we find out differently, we’ll get those scheduled!

Finally, we’re also looking for HQ help! Running headquarters on Discord is a little different than being HQ for a physical convention, and it’s a vital role, but it’s not terribly difficult, and you get GM credit! If you’re interested, email me (Alex) and we’ll see where we can slot you in.
